CYCLE OF PRAYER Ordinary Time - AUTUMN
During Ordinary Time from September to Advent, we are asked to pray for these intentions:
The Spread of the Gospel; the Fruits of Human Work, and the Reverent Use of Creation; Justice and Peace in the World; All Victims of War; Young People; Prisoners and their Families.
PRISONERS WEEK 19th—25th NOVEMBER
A special time when we should prayer for prisoners, their families and victims of crime.
NEXT SUNDAY– OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST THE KING
Sunday 26th November is a Day of Special Prayer for Youth. A retiring collection will be taken to support the work of the Catholic Youth Service. As part of our centenary celebrations, let’s make this a special event for the youth of our parish, at 4pm here on the feast of Christ the King. All young people of all ages welcome.
JOURNEY IN FAITH
Our Journey in Faith continues this Thursday at 9am and 7pm in St Cuthbert’s Chapel.
FAIR TRADE
Our Fair Trade Stall raised £401.55. Our next sale is 10th December the last before Christmas. Why not get your stocking fillers from the stall. There will be no stall in January so if you need to stock up !! .
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
An afternoon of prayer, reflection and practical, has been arranged for Eucharistic Ministers on 26th November at 2.30pm. All ministers are asked to attend this meeting as Child Protection & Vulnerable Adults Policy will be discussed. If you cannot attend please let us know.
PREPARING FOR CHRISTMAS
On the three Wednesdays of Advent why not take time our from your Christmas preparations and come along and just be quite for an hour. We will look at Scripture, reflecting on the Advent message of longing and waiting, have quiet prayer and gentle music. It will happen in St Cuthbert’s chapel from 7– 8pm starting 6th December. PREPARE THE WAY FOR THE LORD
A day of quiet prayer and reflection, including the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Saturday 9th December 2006 led by Fr Kevin Dixon and Fr Stephen Watson 10am—3pm at St Anne’s Pennywell –bring a packed lunch . All are welcome.

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
Amnesty International are asking us to send cards with messages of hope and solidarity to victims of human rights violations and those who defend them. Cards will be available after Mass on Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd December.
